Preparations
- Assess electrical and mechanical state
- Procure engineering plan to relocate vessel
- Drain fuel tank and refuel with fresh diesel
- Recommission mechanics
- Relocate vessel to suitable marina for commencement of works
Phase I
- Develop ship Operating Manual; procure copies of original Kelvin documentation
- Procure and import spare parts from around the world including complete replacement engines and gearboxesÂ
- Relocate the vessel to allow access from land and commencement of urgent remedial activities
- Lift the vessel out of water, clean hull and inspect conditionÂ
- Repair hull as required whilst boat is lifted
- Undertake full survey for class 1E marine survey
- Establish the Friends of MV Perth club
Phase 2
- Establish governance and operating structure to allow the commencement of operations
- Relocate MV Perth back to her home on the Swan River
- Agree extent of restorative works with the Friends
- Prepare outline budgets
